How it bills
Flat desk fee. 7-day free trial; no payment method until day 8. Add a payment method in Console after signup or after the trial. Desk and bare-metal bill monthly in advance. Cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- RecurringAfter the 7-day trial, the desk fee and any bare-metal add-on are billed in advance to the card or ACH payment method you add in Console, once a month, until you cancel. Manage your payment method in Console. Cancel anytime; you keep management through the end of the period you have paid for. Partial months are not refunded.
- Trial7 days free. No payment method until day 8. The clock starts when a verified Vast API key is saved, not at signup. Three days before the trial ends we post a Console Message and email you with the end date, the per-machine charges, and how to add a payment method. If none is on file when the trial ends, management pauses and we do not charge you.
- CountManaged machines. Desk and add-on are per machine per month after the trial. Bare-metal bills only while that machine is managed.
- ChangesMachines added mid-month are charged the prorated remainder immediately. Machines removed mid-month come off the next period. Partial months are not refunded.
- AccessA Vast API key for the desk. Remote host access required for the bare-metal add-on. You keep the payout account.
- RemoteBare-metal work is remote only. We do not do onsite or truck-roll work.
- JobsWe do not shorten or cancel a live rental to chase a better price.
What we do not charge
The rate card is the desk fee plus optional remote bare-metal. Nothing else.
- PayoutsRenter money stays in your Vast payout account. Fillrate bills the desk fee separately.
- No cut of earningsThe rate card is the flat desk fee plus optional remote bare-metal. Not a percentage of renter payouts.
- FitIf we cannot beat set-and-forget on that hardware, we will say so.
Money from renters still pays into your payout account. Desk and bare-metal are billed in advance monthly to the card or ACH bank account you add in Console.
FAQ
Can I take the desk without bare-metal?
Yes. Bare-metal is an optional add-on. The desk runs on a Vast API key. Host access is only required if you add remote maintenance.
Is there a free trial? Do I need a card?
Yes. The first 7 days are free. No payment method until day 8. Card or ACH. If you have not added a payment method when the trial ends, management pauses and we do not charge you. After you add one, the published desk fee and any bare-metal add-on are billed in advance monthly.
Do you take a cut of renter payouts?
No. You keep the payout account. Desk is $10 per machine per month after the 7-day free trial. Optional remote bare-metal is a separate $10 add-on.
Which marketplaces do you run?
The desk is built first for Vast.ai hosts — that is the marketplace we operate today. If a fleet is listed elsewhere or not listed yet, say so at intake. We do not run other marketplaces yet.
Will you come onsite?
No. Bare-metal work is remote only: drivers/CUDA, disk and verification chase, OS hygiene when you grant host access. No onsite. No truck rolls.
Do you kick live jobs to chase price?
No. We do not shorten or cancel a live rental to chase a better ask.
